Research on the Mechanism of Industrial Technology Integration to Improve Total Factor Productivity of Manufacturing Industry :Based on the Dual Path Analysis of Supply Chain and Innovation Efficiency

Abstract: In the context of the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy,this study leverages panel data of Chinese A-share listed manufacturing companies from 2O08 to 2023. It measures the digital-physical industrial technology integration behavior of manufacturing firms using Chinese corporate patent information and investigates the impact of this integration on the total factor productivity of these firms,along with its underlying mechanisms.The research shows that digital-physical industrial technology integration can indirectly promote the growth of total factor productivity in manufacturing enterprises through two key pathways: enhancing supply chain efficiency and driving innovation. Heterogeneity analysis indicates that this effect is more pronounced in firms at their growth and maturity stages, as well as in asset- and technology-intensive industries. The findings provide empirical support and policy insights for advancing digital-physical industrial technology integration and fostering the high-quality development of manufacturing enterprises.
