Kinematic Analysis and Optimizationof Steering Torque Fluctuation in Automotive Steering System Based on CATIA Software
Abstract:Asoneofthecriticalperformanceatributesofacompletevehicle,thesterigsystemhasatractedgrowingatentiofrom driverintermsofissafetyandsteeringcomfortSteeringtorquefluctuationservesasakeyfactorafectingsteeing maneuveailty directlyinfluencingthedriver’sdrivingexperience.Basedonthelayouthardpointsof thesteringsystemofadomesticcommercial vehicle,thispaperconductsakinematicanalysisofsteringsystemtorquefluctuationbyutizingtheDMU(DigitalMock-Up) module ofCATIAsoftare,andreduces thestering torquefluctuationrate through phaseangleoptimization,therebyenhancingthe maneuverability of the steering system.
