Textual Research and Interpretation on the Origin of Baliga，a ZangMedicinal Plant

Abstract：ObjectiveThisstudyaims toclarifythebotanicaloriginoftheZang medicinal plant“Baliga”throughasystematic herbalogicalinvestigation，focusingonitsomenclature，morphologialchracteristics，andgeogaphicaldistribtion，threblaing afoundationforitsfurtherresearch.Methods Amultidisciplinaryapproachwasadopted，including iteraturereview，morphological analysis，andfieldinvestigationsintypicalhabitatswithintheYarlungTsangpoRiverBasin．ResultsComprehensiverevealedthat AristolochiagriffthiidistributedinlowhatvalleysandmoutainousareasofSigatse，Shannan，andNyingchiregions，ehbits highconsistencywiththeescriptionsof“Baliga”inZangmedicinaltexts.Comparativeanalysisoffield-collctedspecimensfurther supportsisidentificationastheoriginalplantof“Baliga”.ConclusionDiscrepanciesinhistoricalrecordsndinconsistentChinese translatiosofZang medicinaltermshinderthestandardizationof“Baliga”identification.Toaddressthis，weproposeestablishnga multilingualdatabaseforZangmedicineteminology，promotinginterdisciplinarycollboration，andfaclitatingexprtconsensus through cross-cultural academic exchanges，therebyadvancingthescientificand global recognitionof Zang medicineresearch.
