Abstract:ToasesssoilerosionconditionsintheHeiheRiverBasinandtheirpotentialimpactonthesecurityofwatersources,GIS techniquescombinedwiththeRUSLEmodelwereusedtoquantitativelyestimatethesoilerosionmodulus.Tespatialpatesandprimaryinfluencingfactorsintheregionwereanalyzed.Resultsindicatedthatsoilerosioninthebasinwaspredominantlyslightorlight, accounting for 91.44% of the total area;moderate erosion zones occupied 7.58% ;and severe and extremely severe erosion areas were minimal,accounting for only 0.98% of the total area,and showed a spatial distribution trend of higher in the south and lower inthe north.High-intensityerosinareas weresparselydistributedonmountaintopsinthesouthwestandonslopingfarmland invalleys.Theanalysisofifuencingactorsrevealedtatterainslope,vegetatoncoverageandumanactivitieswerethkeyfactorsde termining the spatial variation of soil erosion in this region.
