Abstract：In1992，UNESCO launched the"Memoryof the World Programme，"making the digitization of historical archival footage a crucial means for the preservationandtransmission of global cultural heritage.The documentary World Memory： Echoes from China employs five sets of Chinese archives included in the Memory of the World Register asits medium.Byadoptinga media archaeology approach，it constructs a "realm of memory"through three dimensions：technology，narrative，andimagery.Utizing digital techniquessuch as 3Dmodelingand image restoration，the documentary revitalizes historical archives.Through a narrative strategy of "revealing the grand through the minute"andemphasizing personalinteractions with history，combined with audiovisual expressionsrooted in Chinese aesthetics，it transforms historicalarchives into epic naratives of civilization.This offers a model for the digital development and innovation of historical archival imagery.
