——一一以《世界记忆:中国回响》为例
Abstract:In1992,UNESCO launched the"Memoryof the World Programme,"making the digitization of historical archival footage a crucial means for the preservationandtransmission of global cultural heritage. The documentary World Memory: Echoes from China employs five sets of Chinese archives included in the Memory of the World Register asits medium.Byadoptinga media archaeology approach,it constructs a "realm of memory"through three dimensions:technology, narrative, andimagery.Utizing digital techniquessuch as 3Dmodelingand image restoration, the documentary revitalizes historical archives.Through a narrative strategy of "revealing the grand through the minute"andemphasizing personalinteractions with history, combined with audiovisual expressionsrooted in Chinese aesthetics,it transforms historicalarchives into epic naratives of civilization. This offers a model for the digital development and innovation of historical archival imagery.
