Abstract：CureofchronichpatitisBvirus（HBV）infectionistheultimategoalinHBV-relatedresearch，andexploringpotntial curative pathways mayhelp toidentifykeyresearch directions.CovalentlyclosedcircularDNA（ccDNA），as themostdificult genetic materialtobeeliminated withinthe HBVreplicationcycle，isnotonlyaprimary impedimenttoachieving cure，butalsoa keyissueforestablishingananalytical framework forcurestrategies.Thisarticlereviewsthethinkingframeworkof“cccDNA dynamics”，furtherelaboratesonitscoreimplications，andsystematicalldiscusses themainstrategies topromoteccDAdecay.
