Abstract： Urban municipal infrastructure is an importantsupport for the city to achieve high-quality development. T/CECS1506—2023，Guideline forplanningofurbanmunicipal infrastructureforhigh-qualitydevelopment，was implemented inMay 2024 in order to meet the new requirements of the high-quality development stage ofurbanization in China and implement the construction goal of modern infrastructure system.This paper introduces the core features， innovation points，keycontents and implementation significance of the standard，and mainly interprets thecommon development factors such assafety and resilience，green and low carbon，regional characteristics，smart empowerment， sharingand integration，aiming to make relevant parties beterunderstandthecontentof thestandardand promote its wideapplication.This standard is the first comprehensive technical standard to systematicall guide the municipal infrastructure planning in China，which is of great value to improve thesystematicnessand foresightof themunicipal infrastructure planning.
