The Design and Cultural Interpretation of Mongolian Shamanist Headdress from the Perspective of Grassland Culture

Abstract：TheMongolianshamanichatisanimportantmanifestationofMongolianshamanicart，withuniquethniccharacteritics andculturalconotationsinitshatdecorationandhatmaking.Howeveruetothecomplexityfitsfolkculture，treistil controversyintheacademiccommunityregardingtheoriginanddevelopmentofthishat.Basedonthis，thispaperusesmagescienceandcomparativeresearchmethodstoexaminetheshamanichatsofrepresentativeMongoliantribessuchasKhorchinandBuryat，andsummarizestheirsimilaritiesanddiferences.Researchhasfoundthatthe"circularcrossbeam"hatframestructureis widelydistributedinnorthernChinaandeventheentireiberianregion.Thisshamanichatconsistsofthreeparts：hatdecoration， hatframe，andhatlining.ThiscombinationstyleofhatsisnotonlyaproductofShamanism'ssoulview，butalsoaconcentrated embodimentoftheMongolianprimitivespace-timeviewofthe"FourDirectionsandFivePositions".Theemergenceofthis kind ofgodhatdesignisaconcretemanifestationandevidenceoftemuli-ethnicculturalexchangesandinteractionsundertheassland culture.
