Construction and Application of the Capability Indicator System for Power Generation Companies

Abstract：Power generation companies in China are facing both opportunities and challnges amid the sector's largescale growth，low-carbon transformation，and market-oriented reform，aswell as the mision of building world-class companies.There are urgent needs of enhancing their capabilities to address these challnges.However，existing research lacks suficient exploration into constructing a capability indicator systemandconducting systematic analysis on theircapability-building status.Innovatively integrating theperspectives of strategic alignmentandorganizational alignment，adopting theclassificationof learning and innovative capability，businessand managerial capability，engineering and technical capability，and international business capability，and proposing a three-tiercapability indicator systemconsisting offoundational，operational andoutputcapabilities.Furthermore，byleveraging thiscapabilityindicator system，systematicallyinvestigating and analyzing the current status of power generationcompanies，formulates several insights，and provides a reference for capability-building of power generation companies in China.
