Evolutionary Path and Frontier Trends of Research Topics in Engineering Schedule Management from the Perspective of AI: Based on Bibliometric and Knowledge Graph Analysis

Abstract:A bibliometricanalysisof 685 Web-of-Science publications on construction schedule management from 2001 to 2O24 is conducted with SciMAT.Annual output is found to rise steadily,and keyword trajectories indicate rapid expansion and continuous innovation. Strategic diagrams reveal core,emerging and peripheral themes for successive periods,showing ashift from traditional modeling to BIMapplicationsand intellgent algorithms.Evolution paths identifynine trajectoriesandtwo dominant directions-schedule planning integrated with resource management and smart technologies,and BIM-extended research into image procesing andartificial inteligence,driving management tools toward intelligence. BIM and AI are expected to remain major research hotspots.
