AbstractInordertoobtainsuitablewaterandntrogendosageindicatorsforgreenhousepepperproductionincoldandaridareas,thepeppervarietyLongoNo3susdsthstateialndheevelsofgationdnrgenlicationweetodef diferentwaterandnitrogentratmentsonteotosyteticcaracteristics,eld,adqualityfpepper.Teesultsshowedtatdotinga water-nitrogen treatment combination with an irrigation amount of 65% 80% of the field capacity and a nitrogen application rate of (204 372.90kg/hm2 ,pepperplants maintainedstrong photosynthesis,withthehighestvaluesof photosyntheticrate,transpirationrate,intercellular CO2 ,and stomatal conductance,which were 16.58 μmol/(m²·s),8.63μmol/(m²·s),265.00 mmol/(m²·s),and 356.00mmol/(m2⋅s) ,respectively.The numerical indicators of pepper plant height,stem thickness,number of fruits per plant,yield per plant,and yield per hectare were also the highest,with values of 112.19cm , 1.46cm ,26.47, 1.46kg ,and ,respectively, whichweresignificantlyhigherthantoseofotertreatents;uderW2treatment,thequalityindicatosofpeppersalsoshowedtebest performance.TecomprehesiveexperimentalsultsidicatethattheuseofawaterntrogncombiationcomposedofWN2canprootethe growthandpotosytsisofchilipeppersndsignificantlyimproethirieldndualityeseesultsprovideteoreticalgdaneforchieving high-yield and high-quality production of peppers in cold and arid regions.
