Abstract：Jichuanjian，aclasicfmousforulafirstrecordedinJingyue Quanshu，isomposedofsixherbs，namelyAngelice SinensisRdix，AchyranthisidentataeRadix，CistanchesHrba，Alismatisizoma，CimicifugaeRhizoma，ndAurantiFuctus，d hastheeffectsofwarmingthekidneyandpromotingvitalesence，andlubricatingtheintestines torelieveconstipation.InJCJprescription，fourhrbshavemultiplesourceplants，ncludingCistanchesHrba，lismatisizom，imicifugaeizoma，ndut Fructus，andtheirsinglesourceplantremainsundetermineduptonow.Inthisstudy，troughsummarizingancientmedicaltextsand modernreports，thesourceplantof hesefourherbsweredeterminedasfolows：thedriedfleshystems withscalyleavesofCistanche deserticolaY.C.MaforCistanches Herba，driedtubersofAlismaorientale（Sam.）Juzep.forAlismatisRhizoma，driedtubersf Cim 1 icifugafoetidaL.forCimicifugeRhizomanddriedunripefruitofCitrusaurantiumL.forAurantiiFructus.Theresultsofthisstudy contribute to the pharmaceutical and pharmacognosy research of JCJ.
