Research on Fine-scale Population Spatialization Based on Corrected WorldPop Data

Abstract: In response to the issue where traditional census methods fail to meet the demands of fine-grained urban management,this paper proposes a fine-scalepopulationestimationandspatialization method based on corected WordPopdata. The method begins with employing nationalcensus data tocompute partition-specificcorrection parameters for WorldPop data. Subsequentlyasedontepartito-coecedWorlPopata,itfuterimatesteppulatioountfoachsbdistct(tet andconductsspatialvisualizatioanalysis.Falytheestimatedpopulationisvalidatedandevaluatedtroughregresionaalysis techniqus.Experimentalresults showthatthe population forstret districts estimatedbythis proposed method exhibitsahigh degree of consistency with actualcensus data,withacorrelationcoeffcient in the regression analysis of0.9land the R2 value of 0.84.Thisverifes theeffectivenessofthmethodintermsoffie-scalepopulationestimation.Itoldscertainreferencevaluefor advancing sustainableurbandevelopmentinChina,optimizingresourceallcation,andenhancingurbanmanagementstandards.
