Solving Economic Dispatch Problem Based on Multi-mechanism Dream Optimization Algorithm

Abstract:To addressthe problems of weak ability to escape from localoptima and low solution accuracy existing in curent algorithms when solving the Economic Dispatch Problem,this paper proposesa multi-mechanism Dream Optimization Algorithm.This algorithmenhances global explorationabilitybyintroducingadiferential mutation mechanism,improves local exploitation accuracy by adopting a Gaussan mutation mechanism,combines an improved memory forgeting and supplementation mechanism to further promote optimization performance,andrealizes adynamic balance between global and local search abilies byaidofaroulete whelselectionmechanism.Theexperimentalresults basedona40-unit economic dispatchmodelindicate thatcompared with traditional optimizationalgorithmsandother meta-heuristicalgorithms,this algorithmshowssignificant improvement inescaping fromlocaloptimaandconvergenceacuracyofthe solution.The fuelcost of the obtained optimal solution is reduced by at least 2.16% ,which verifies its effectivenessand engineering application value in the Economic Dispatch Problem.
