Teaching Practice in the Design and Verification of Digital Filters Based on ModelSim

Abstract： This paper expounds a teaching practice scheme forthe design and verification of digitalflters based onthe ModelSimsoftware，coveringkeysteps includingflterdigitization，VerilogpipelineddesignandverificationwiththeTestbench. Theefctivenessofthedesignedalgorithmisverifdaccordingtotheflteringeffctoftheesignedfiteronsignalsourceswith diferent frequencies.BydesigningafirstorderRCow-pass digitalfilter，applying teststimulussignalsofdiferentfrequencies toit，andanalyingitsflteringoutputfect，theetiveessofthdesignedlgorhisverifedTisteacingpracticehelps students gainadeep understanding of the design flowof digital integratedcircuitsandimprove theirengineering practical capabilities as well as the spirit of innovative exploration.
