Teaching Practice in the Design and Verification of Digital Filters Based on ModelSim

Abstract: This paper expounds a teaching practice scheme forthe design and verification of digitalflters based onthe ModelSimsoftware,coveringkeysteps includingflterdigitization,VerilogpipelineddesignandverificationwiththeTestbench. Theefctivenessofthedesignedalgorithmisverifdaccordingtotheflteringeffctoftheesignedfiteronsignalsourceswith diferent frequencies.BydesigningafirstorderRCow-pass digitalfilter,applying teststimulussignalsofdiferentfrequencies toit,andanalyingitsflteringoutputfect,theetiveessofthdesignedlgorhisverifedTisteacingpracticehelps students gainadeep understanding of the design flowof digital integratedcircuitsandimprove theirengineering practical capabilities as well as the spirit of innovative exploration.
