Abstract: This research takes Jinhai road as a case to explore the effectiveness of using ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology for urban road void detection. The paper begins with an overview of the research background and the working principles of GPR technology, then introduces the specific detection methods implemented on Jinhai road, the data processing procedures, and the interpretation of the final results in detail. Through field detection and data analysis, this research successfully identifies and assesses the risks associated with multiple potential road voids, providing a scientific basis for subsequent road maintenance. The research not only demonstrates the application potential of GPR technology in urban infrastructure inspection but also holds important and practical significance for improving the safety management level of urban roads.
