Intelligent Management Paradigm: Organizational Leap in Human-Machine Symbiosis

Abstract: Based on Thomas Kuhn's theory of paradigms,this article systematically reviews the evo lution of management theory through four major paradigm shifts: from the 1.O Classical Management Paradigm (eficiency-first),to the 2.O Behavioral Science Paradigm (focusing on human factors),the 3.0 Modern Management Science Paradigm (quantitative decision-making),and finally the 4.O Contemporary Management Paradigm (coping with complexity and change). The evolution is identified as an outcome of the interplay between technological revolutions,social demands,and organizational forms. Confronting the triple challenges of the inteligent era-dilemmas of capability boundaries,demand-supply integration,and organizational rigidity-this paper proposes a fifth paradigm: the Inteligent Management Paradigm. Driven by technological clusters such as AI,big data,and IoT,this paradigm shifts its core assumption from“Economic Man” or“Social Man”to“Creator”,emphasizing human-machine collaboration. Its core tenets include: redefining the basic organizational unit as a “Role"; shifting the management focus from efficiency optimization to capability extension; evolving the organizational form towards self-organizing“Role Networks";and employing typical tools/methods such as Capability Models,Role Connectors,Knowledge Assetization,and Data Foundations.

The essence of the Intelligent Management Paradigm lies in liberating human potential and enhancing value creation through human-machine symbiosis,ultimately leading to a holistic leap for organizations and society.
