Abstract:Dissolved Oxygen(DO),an important indicator reflecting changes in marine water quality,plays a significant role in maintaining thebalance of marine ecosystems.Based on monitoring data collcted from three buoys inthe coastal waters ofBeidaihe during the summer of2O24,this study analyzed the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics ofDOand itscorrelations withenvironmental factors.Theresults indicatedthatthelowestdaily average valuesof DO in the summer for the Laohushi and Jinshanzui areas occurred in late July,at 5.67mg/L and 5.39mg/L respectively,while the lowest value in the Yanghekou area was in early August,at 6.28mg/L .Afterlate July,there was a sharp increase in precipitation,leading to significant fluctuations in DO concentrations.On
August 24th,the maximum daily average values of DO for the summer were observed simultaneously in the three areas of Laohushi,Yanghekou,and Jinshanzui,which were 10.37mg/L , 11.22mg/L ,and 11.41mg/L respectively.The highest DO value within the day occured between16:00 and 17:30,and the lowest value occured between 6:00and7:30.Pearson correlation analysis revealed thatDO concentration in the threeareasof Laohushi,Yanghekou,and Jinshanzui was significantly positively correlated with pH ,Chlorophyll-a( Chla ), and Atmospheric Pressure(AP).Path analysis of the main environmental factors affecting DO concentration indicated that DO concentration in Laohushi and Jinshanzui areas was mainly influenced by pHand Chla ,while in the Yanghekou area,it was primarily affected by pH.
