Issues and Insights of Coastal Erosion Protection in China

Abstract：Accelerated global climate change is exacerbatingcoastal erosion，posing serious challenges for coastal countries worldwide．China，with its long and irregular coastline，strong human activities，and intensifiedcoastal dynamics due to climatechange，is facing unprecedented coastal protection challenges.Based onthe globaland domestic coastal erosion situation under thebackground of accelerating climate change，this articleanalyzes the existing issues incoastal protectionof China，summarizes coastal protection concepts from both domestic and international perspectives，and proposes recommendations for establishing harmonious coasts in China.Recommendations include strengthening systematic monitoring and forward-looking risk assessment， carrying out restoration and technological innovation that integrates geomorphology and ecology and paying attention to the synergy between ecological protectionand sustainable development incoastal erosion prevention.
