Research progress the preparation application boron nitride nanotubes

Abstract: Boron nitride nanotubes(BNNTs) have almost the same basic structure as carbon nanotubes(CNTs) have very high mechanical strength. However,unlike CNTs,BNNTs do not have delocalized π electrons are generally considered to be an insulator. Their conductivity is independent their structure,diameter,length, aspect ratio. They have better thermal chemical stability, therefore have great application potential in high-temperature,highly chemically corrosive, highly radiative space environments. This paper comprehensively introduces the basic properties,synthesis methods, applications BNNTs,in order to provide some reference for their further research application.
