Abstract： Developing the Camellia oleifera industry is a pivotal measure to enhance China's edible oil supply capacity and safeguard national edible oil security. This paper adopts a combined method of literature research，questionnaire surveys and field investigations to analyze the curent development status of the whole industry chain of Camellia oleifera in China. The results show that the Camellia oleifera industry in China is developing steadily on the whole，with the policy support system being continuously improved and investment being increased consistently.However，it stillfaces prominent problems such as low productivity，unbalanced industrial structure，structural imbalance in production and processing，weak market competitiveness and consumption disconnect. In this regard，countermeasures and suggestions for promoting the quality and eficiency improvement of the whole industry chain of Camelia oleifera in China are put forward from the aspects of strengthening government support，exploring diversified financial empowerment，increasing investment in scientific and technological elements， promoting integrated industrial development and improving socialized services，aiming to provide references for advancing the high-quality development of the Camellia oleifera industry.
