Liang Qichao and the emergence of modern Chinese children’s literature： a perspective of publication and communication

Abstract：To clarify the theoretical issues concerning the emergence of modern Chinese children’s literature，this study adopts Piagst’s genetic epistemologyasaguiding framework.It extends thescopeofinvestigation from the textual realmofchildren’sliterature tothe fieldofpublicationandcommunication.Byintegrating theoreticalanalysis with historicalmaterials，itexplorestherelationship betweenLiang Qichaoand theemergenceofmodern ChineseChildren's literature. Liang Qichao made pioneering contributions in many aspects，including the“discovery ofchildren”，the construction ofchildren’sliterature theory，and the promotionof translation，creation，anddisseminationofchildren's literature.His explorations laidacrucialfoundation fortheemergenceofmodern Chinesechildren’s literatureandplayed a trailblazing role in the development of this field.
