Analysis of Element Contents and Fingerprinting Construction of Tea from Different Tea-producing Areas in Lu'an

Abstract:To investigate the elementcontents in teafrom different tea-producing areas inLu'an,a fingerprint mapof tea elements in Lu'an was constructed.Fresh tealeaf samples from diferent tea-producing areas inLu'an City werecollected, and theelement contents in the samples were determined using microwave digestion - inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.Corelation analysis andcluster analysis were performedonthe data,and the relative elemental contents wereusedtodrawthe teaelementfingerprintmap.Theresultsshowthatthe26elements had good linearrelationships, with smallrelative standard deviations of the measured values and stable and reliable detection results.Among 54 tea samples,all22 elementswere detected,1 elementwaspartiallydetected (Pb) ,and3 elementswerenot detected (V,As, Hg ).The contentsof major elementswere K>Ca>Mg>Na ,and the contents of essential trace elementswere Mn>Fe> Zn>Ni>Cu>Sr>Cr>Co>S e> Sn>Mo>V,while the average contents of non-essential trace elementswere Al>Ti>B>Ba> Tl.The average contents of harmful elementswere Pb>Cd>Sb>As/Hg .Thecontents of various elements varied in tea fromdifferent tea-producing areas, with 20 elements showing significant diferences in diferent tea-producingregions. There was a significant positive correlation between 42 pairs of elements such as Mg-K,and a significant negative correlation between 6 pairs of elements such as Se-Na.The 54 tea samples were mainlyclustered into 5categories. Samples from thesame tea-producing area were generallyclustered together,and the element contents were associated with the regional environment.The fingerprintpatterns ofdiffrent tea-producing areas inLu'an Citywere similar,but the relativecontents varied,whichcouldbeusedasabasis for tracing theoriginof tea.Theelementcontents in teavaried fromdifferent productionareas inLu'an City,with low levelsofharmful elements.The fingerprint mapoftea elements drawn is of great significance for tracing the origin of tea in Lu'an.
