Abstract： Thetea industry occupies an important position in China's agricultural economy，but the widespread existence of low-yield and low-eficiency tea plantations has restricted its eficient development.This paper elaborated on thedistributionoflow-yieldand low-effciency tea plantations in China.Italsodiscussedtheevaluation indicators，main types，performance characteristics，causes of formationand transformation techniquesof these gardens.

Additionally，itanalyzed how transformed tea gardenscansynergisticallyimprove economic，ecologicaland landscape benefits.The paper aimed to provide more targeted theoretical and practical support for enhancing the scientific nature and efficiencyof tea garden management，as wellas for the transformation and upgrading of low-yield and low-efficiency tea plantations in China，and for the high-quality development of the tea industry.
