Abstract： Journalism education in the new era shoulders the dual-mission of ideological guidance and indigenous knowledge creation.Guided by the Marxist view of journalism at its core，the Research Center for Marxist Journalism and Journalism Education Reformat the School of Journalism and Communication， Tsinghua University，has establisheda pedagogical paradigmcharacterizedby the unityof“redand expert， knowing and doing”through three major approaches.These approaches include： establishing a curriculum guidedbythe trinityof"theory-history-practice”;undertaking oral history writing training withthe“County-Level China，People's History”book series；and conductingglobal academic exchanges that integrate Chinese and foreign perspectives under the slogan of“From Global to Village".Drawing upon years of teaching practice at the Center，this paper expounds the praxis and innovations in teaching the Marxist view of journalism through curriculum design，field-basedpracticumactivities，narrative skilldevelopment through oral history writing practiceand talent cultivation through other extra-curriculumactivities，whilehighlighting thecore value of oral history writing practice for developing a Chinese Marxist view of journalism education with a people-centered perspective.In explicating the significance of these praxis and innovations for developing a“Tsinghua School"in Chinese journalism and communication research，the paper also hopes to provide a possible model of practice for journalism education reform in China.
