A Study on the Practical Dilemmas of Internet Addiction Among Older and Middle-Aged Adults Based on Grounded Theory

Abstract:Withthe in-depthadvancementofaging-friendlyservice initiativesinthe digital era,the phenomenon of interetaddictionamong the middle-aged andelderly groups hasalso shownamarked upward trend.Basedon the grounded theory paradigmand thecomprehensive applicationofsemi-structured interviews,this studyconducts an indepth analysisof the characterization features,formation mechanisms and practicalconstraints ofintemet addiction among the middle-agedandelderly.Throughthree-levelcodingof interviewdatavia the MAXQDAqualitativeanalysis software, thestudy finds thataddressing the issueof internetaddiction inthis grouprequires the multi-partycolaborationof families,platformsand society,soas toforma“combinationof guidanceandregulation”governancemodel.Atthe sociallevel,efortssouldbeadetoimproveaging-friendlyupgradedservices;atthetechnicallevel,itisssy to optimize algorithm ethics;and at the individual level,active promotionof media literacy is required.
