Privacy-preserving multi-dimensional and multi-subset data aggregation scheme for smart grids

Abstract:Toaddress theriskof privacyleakageduringuserdatacolectioninsmart grids,thisstudy investigatedamultidimensionalandmulti-subsetdataaggregationmechanism.Buildingontheobservationthatexistingschemes generalllack supportformultidimensioalagregationandincurhighomputationalcosts,thispaperproposedaprivacy-preservingmultidiensionaland multi-subset dataaggregationscheme(PPMS-DA)thatleveragedaditivehomomorphic ElGamal encryption.The scheme integratedsignatureverificationanduser groupingtoperform secureagregationwithoutrelyingonanytrusted hird party.Securityanalysis under therandomoraclemodel demonstrates thattheschemeachieves ciphertext indistinguishability andsignatureuforgeability,fectivelyresistingcollusionatacksbetweenthecontrolcenterandhegateway.Underxperimentalsetings involvingvarying numbersofusersanddatadimensions,erformanceevaluationshowsthat,comparedwiththe most efficient of five mainstream schemes ,the proposed approach reduces computational overhead by 18.84% at the gateway side and 24. 55% atthe control center side,without employing expensive pairing operations.The results indicate that the scheme ofers strong practicality and scalability for large-scale and resource-constrained smart grid environments.
