Abstract： Uninhabited islands，as unique natural resources，possess not only significant economic value but also unparallled ecological and strategic valuedue to their relatively isolated geographical environment.Since the 20th National Congress of the Communist PartyofChina，under the broader context of stepping up efforts to build China into a strong maritime country，the protection of uninhabited islands warrnts further strengthening. However，inthespecific issueof investigating and penalizing illegal buildings on these islands，there remains a lack ofclear legal stipulations，resulting in isues such as unclear enforcement entities，inconsistent enforcement standards，and non-standardized enforcement procedures.This paper focuses on the chalenges of investigation and punishment of illgal buildings on China's uninhabited islands.Through in-depth analysis of specific cases， it aims to standardize and refine theenforcement entities，standards and procedures for handling such illgal buildings.Thegoal is tocontinuouslyoptimize the administrative enforcementoflawagainst illegal buildings on uninhabited islands，thereby contributing to island ecological protection and the construction of a strong maritime country.
