Abstract： In order to promote the high-quality and sustainable development of China’s sea cucumber industry， this article takes Weihai Cityasan example to summarize the current development status of thesea cucumber industry，systematically analyzethe experience and achievements of Weihai in the process of developing the sea cucumber industry，and propose countermeasures for the development of the sea cucumber industry. The results indicate that Weihai City，based on its excellnt resource endowment，has taken a large number of measures intop-level design，seed industry development，technological innovation，etc.，to develop the sea cucumber industry into anadvantageous characteristic industryanda livelihood industry.But there are also shortcomings such as insuficient coverage of high-quality seeds and weak brand competitiveness.The article addresses the shortcomings and deficiencies， focuses on the future trends of the sea cucumber industry，and proposes suggestions for the development of the sea cucumber industry chain，intensification，and specialization，in order to promote the high-quality development of the sea cucumber industry.
