盆景寻踪一广州海幢寺外销画中的盆景图像研究

Abstract
Lingnan Penjing,as an essential component of Lingnan garden art,has long been surrounded by uncertainties regarding its historical development due to the scarcity of surviving artifactsand written records,calling for further excavation and research.Export paintings of Hoi Tong Monastery,created in the late 18th century,offer new opportunities for such studies,as they depict penjing at that time in great detail.This study focuses on three extant sets of these export paintings,systematically analyzing and discussing the penjing images they contain. By examining three specific scenes featuring penjing, the study investigates layout,compositional elements,and the technical characteristicsof the penjing.Through image analysis,the study reveals that Guangzhou Penjing in the late 18th century had already developed craftsmanship closely resembling the techniques of contemporary Lingnan Penjing. Moreover,Lingnan Penjingduring this period demonstrated relative maturity in pot selection,scenic pairing, and composition, indicating a certain degreeof standardizationand established practice.
