The Conceptual Connection Between "Archival Culture" and "Archival Paradigm"： Also on the Construction of the Autonomous Knowledge System of Chinese Archival Science Yang Qian1，Xie Xin

Abstract： Effective international academic dialogue typicall relies on shared conceptual and theoretical frameworks. Interpreting，comparing，andconectingsimilarconceptsndtheoriesfromdomesticandinterationalscholarshipfaciliatesthe globalengagementofChinesearchivalsience，bolsters theoreticalconfidene，andsupportsthedevelopmentofautonomous knowledgesystem.Archival culture andthearchival paradigm can be regarded as distinct theoretical constructs developed by Chineseand Westemscholarsrespectivelyaddressngsimilarphenomena fromcomparableperspectives.However，curent researchonarchivalculturereceivesrelativelylimitedatentiondomesticallywhileitsinternationaldissminationremins insufcient.Incontrast， thearchivalparadigmhas gained wideracceptance withinacademiccircles.The structuralsiilarities， consistentthematicfocus，andcomplementarytheoreticalfunctionsbetweentheseconceptsindicatethattheirintegrationisboth logically soundand practicall feasible.Theconstructionandapplicationofan integrativeand explanatory "archival culture paradigm" is expectedtoprovideaconcrete pathwayforconceptualintegration whileservingasa practical startingpointfor exploring the establishment of an autonomous knowledge system in Chinese archival science.
