Numerical analysis of load-bearing characteristics and structural optimization of caisson underground garage

Abstract : To study the mechanical characteristics of the caisson underground garage with continuous arch composite section,the numerical models of continuous arch composite section caisson with different number of standard spans using the arch foot fixed connection and the arch foot hinged connection are built in Ansys software. The bending moment change law of the members is analyzed. The results show that when the trace of thearc of the outer arch wallof the standard section is located in the same arc,the corresponding rise-span ratio is the optimal value while the outer arch wall bending moment close to 0. This conclusion is stillapplicable while the number of standard internode spans,the connection mode of arch foot and the ratio of length to width of standard internode change.
