Simulation on press-fitting influencing factor of front lower control arm bushing

Abstract: In order to obtain the influencing factors and laws of bushing press-fiting,a two-dimensional finite element simulation model for bushing press-fiting is established using a certain stamping formed front lower control arm as the research object.The relevant factors that may aect the pressing-in force and pressing-out force of the bushing are sorted out from the perspectives of the control arm body, bushing,and their fit. The quantitative influence law of single factor on the pressing-in force and pressing-out force is obtained by simulation. The results show that: the thickness of outer ring sleeve of the bushing is the main influencing factor for the bushing pressing-in force;the thickness of the bushing outer ring sleeve is the main influencing factor for the pressing-out force while the interference is 0.3 mm;the draft angle of the control arm flange hole is the main influencing factor for the pressing-out force while the interference is 0.6mm and 0.9mm
