Vibration fatigue and optimization of steering oil tank

Abstract: As to the fracture of a steering oil tank of acertain type vehicle during the road durability test, the vibration fatigue of the system is focused as the key factor. The load spectrum of the test site is accelerated.Based on the modal frequency response analysis,it is found that there is a risk of vibration fatigue damage in the oil tank. The optimization scheme based on the idea of increasing the natural frequency of oil tanks is proposed. The effectiveness and reliability of the optimization scheme are verified by the comparison between simulation and bench test.
