AbstractTosystematicallyaddress theissueof waterseepage inbuilding external wals，thecausesofseepage wereanalyzed fromfouraspects：design，building materials，construction，andoperationalmaintenance.Correspondingpreventiveandcontrol measureswereproposedfortypicalsepage-pronelocations，includingwallracks，decorativebeltourses，channelsteeloenings， andtheperipheryofextealwindows.Teanalysisindicatesthattheconstructionphaseisthemostsignificantfactorcontributingto external wall water seepage，accounting for 45%-48% ofthe causes.By refining detail design， strictly enforcing material inspection， strengtheningconstructionprocess control，andeancingpost-onstructionmaintenancethroughcomprehensivemeasurespage riskscanbeefectivelymtigatedImplementingintegratedpreventionandcontroltroughouttheentireprocessndacrosulple stages is key to ensuring structural safety，functionality， and durability of buildings.
