AbstractAddressingthestatorinsulationbreakdownina10kV/960kWhigh-voltage motorafter61OO0hoursofoperation,a disassemblyispectionandfaulttreeanalysiswereconductedtorevealthefailuremechanism.Theresultsindicatethatmicroracks developedattheslotexitduetoprolongedexposuretoOHzelectromageticvibration.Partialdiscargeactivitypropagatedalong thesecracks,andthedischargebyproductsreactedwithsulfurintheenvironmenttoformCuScrystals,acceleratinginsulation degradationandultimatelyleadingtoagroundfault.Long-termoperationattemperatures angingfrom110to12OCexacerbated thermalaging,servingasasignificantcontributingfactortothefailure.Basedontheidentifiedfluremechanism,acombinedepair strategy was formulated, incorporating VPI process,anti Π-Π corona structure optimization,and dynamic balancing correction. The repair result showed that an insulation resistance reached 34GΩ , partial discharge magnitude was ≤5O pC,and a vibration velocity RMS value was 0.2mm/s ,with all performance indicators meeting the requirements of GB/T 755—2019 and ISO1940.For preventive maintenance,acomprehensiveearlywaingsystemwasestablished,integrating HFCT-basedonlinepartialdischargemonitoring vibrationspectrumanalysis,andtheArhenustemperaturemodel.Bysetinghardthresholds,thesystemcanidentifypotentialrisks upto72hoursbeforefilure,potentiallextendingthemotor’sservicelifeby5to8yars.Thisstudyprovidesatechnicalreference for fault diagnosis and predictive maintenance of similar high-voltage motors.
