Abstract To meet the hoisting requirements of a new 1,000kt/a lead-zinc mine,a technical and economic comparison was conductedbetweentower-mountedandfloor-mountedmulti-ropefrction hoistingsystems.Considering factorssuchasthelimited spaceavailableatteidustrialsite,tetower-mountedangementwasslectedSubsequntlythekeyparametesoftoisting system were calculated and subjected to safety checks.The calculation results indicate that the selected JKM-3.25 × 4(III)E multi-rope friction hoist,paired with a 9.5m3 bottom-dump skip,meets all the requirements specified in the Safety Code for Metal and Nonmetal Mines(GB6423—2020).Safetycheckswereperformedothehoistropes,guideropes,andanti-slipsafetyfactors.Testatic anddynamicantislipsafetyfactorsare4.13and1.89,respectivelyTesafetyfactorforthehoistropeis762,theigidityofit fortheguideropesis8,andthesafetyfactorfortheguideropesis723.Throughthecordinatedoptimizationoftesipstructure and the shaft section,a 9.5m3 skip capacity was achieved by increasing its height while maintaining a standard cross Π-Π sectional dimension. This allowed for a reduction in the shaft's net diameter from the conventional ∅4.5 mto ∅4.0 m,resulting in capital investmensavingsofapproximately2.6illonyuan.Teassociatedloadingunloaingandoverindprotectionsytemsareesiged to be rational, ensuring the continuity and safety of the hoisting operations.
