Abstract：Environmental monitoring is an important foundation for the govemment's environmental governance systemand ecological environment protection.The sharing of environmental monitoring data among governments is an important guarantee for coordinating local governments and micro enterprises to accelerate the green transformation. This paper uses the data of China's A-share listed companies from 2010 to 2O24to explore the impactof the ecological environmentmonitoringnetwork onthegreen transformationof enterprises.Theresearch finds thattheecological environment monitoring network has led enterprises to focus more on emission reduction than development.Mecha一 nismanalysis indicates thatthe monitoring network willenhancelocal governments'environmental attentionandre一 duce their space for environmental discretion.This has not prompted enterprises toreduce production.Instead，it has forced them to increaseenvironmental protection investment mainly focused onback-end treatment，whilesqueezing out productive innovation investment. Heterogeneity analysis revealed that among domestic-funded，tax-dependent， lightlypollutingand finance-constrained enterprises，themonitoring network ledtoamorepronounced efectof enterprises emphasizing emission reduction over development.
