ABSTRACT:The Yangtze River Delta White Goat,also known as the Haimen Goat,is a famous goat bred in China and the onlyone that can produce high-quality writing brush hair(type Ilhair).circCOLlA1has been confirmed to play an importantrole in the formationof high-quality writing brushhair.This study further focusedoncircCOL1Al,performed cirular RNAs (circRNAs)sequencingonhair follcle stemcelswith cirCOLAl overexpressionand knockdown,andanalyzed thefunctionsofdiferentialcirRNAsandtheirsourcegenes.Functionalenrichmentandinteractionnetworkanalysesshowedthat diferentiallexpresedcirRNAssuchascircACTN1,circTGA6andcirCOBLLimportantregulatoryroles inhairfollilede velopment(includingthegrowthanddevelopmentofhairfoliclestemcels)andtheformationofhigh-qualitywritingbrushhair, exerting their important regulatory efects through circITGA6/miR-18a-5p-FGF1/MAP3K1 axis such as the circACTN1-miR671-5p-MAPK3/COL13A1/KRTAP3 axis and the circITGA6-miR-18a-5p-FGF1/MAP3K1 axis.
