Strength and hydration characteristics of alkali solid waste synergistically stimulatedcementitiousmaterials

Abstract: Aiming at the problems of insufficient mechanical properties and unclear microstructure characteristics of industrial solid waste-based cementitious materials,a quaternary cementitious material system of alkali slagcarbide slag-slag-silica fume was constructed.The mechanical properties of the material system under diferent ratios were evaluated by means of macroscopic performance test and microscopic characterization,and the formation mechanism and structural evolution of hydration products were revealed.The results show that when the mass ratio of alkali slag,carbide slag,slag and silica fume is 8:2:14:1 ,the strength of cementitious material ishigher,and the strength of28 d reaches 38.24MPa .Alkaline slagand carbide slag cansynergistically stimulate theactivityof the system; the silica fume can be used as a supplementary material to provide silicon and aluminum components,which has a positive efect on the strength growth of the system.The main hydration products of the material are C-S-H and C-(A)-S-H.The research conclusions provide areference for the application of low-carbon cement alternative materials.
