Abstract: A long term, stable and accurate monitoring of temperature changes is the key to the effective operation of the system in an unmanned environment in outer space.To solve the problem that interference noisesaffect the measurementaccuracyof the thermal noise thermometry,amethodof eliminating interference noisesusing a digital correlator,known as cross-correlation method,is proposed.Two identical signal processing channels are designed to ensure that the output signals of the two channels are the superposition of the same input signal and the interference signals generated by their respective channels; a data acquisition card (DAQ) is used to synchronously colect the output signals of the two channels and convert them into digital signals as input toa computer;thecross-correlation calculation of the two signals is realized by the digital correlating program, which efectively reduces the influence of the dominant interference noise.Experimental results show that, as compared to a control measurement by a high-accuracy thermocouple,the error of this cross-correlation method is 0.51% at room temperature; as compared to the traditional thermal noise thermometry, the accuracy of this cross-correlation method is improved by more than two times.
