Abstract:[Purpose/Significance]This studyaims toexplore the factors influencing social mediausers’wilingness to correct disinformation fromamixed study.[Method/Process]Basedonthe grounded theory,aconceptual model was constructedusingdatafrom16semi-structuredinterviews.Then,atheoreticalmodelwasdevelopedbasedontheelaboration likelihood model(ELM).278valid data were collected through onlinequestionnaires,andfurtheranalyzed using PLSSEM.[Result/Conclusion]The resultsshowthatinformationusefulness,information relatedness,socialmedialiteracyand attitudesignificantlyandpositivelyaffectsuspecteddisinformationverificationbehaviour.Also,suspeteddisinformation verificationbehaviourand self-eficacy have significant and positive impactsonsocial media users’wilingnesstocorrect disinformation.
