Abstract:[Purpose/Significance]Integrating insights fromdomesticandinternationalscholars toexplorethemathematical principlesofinformationscience,proposeaunifieddefinitionof information,andprovideinnovativepathways to address three fundamental challnges:definition,measurement,and evaluationof information.[Method/Process]Refining the Brookes equation bytransformingitsquasi-mathematicalstructure intoan“information-knowledge”interactionmathematical model,validatingthe model’srationalitythrough empiricaldata includingacademic papers,social mediadata, andenvironmentaldata,derivingtheintellgenceequation,andproposingacorrespondingdefinitionofintelligence.This definitionrevealed the mathematical principles underlying intellgence atributes such as decision orientation,timelines, emergence,subjectivity,foresight,and transmissibility,whileenhancing the explanatory powerof inteligencegeneration andevolution within the“IK”and“DIKW”framework.[Result/Conclusion]Applying mathematical principles to unifythe definitionofintellgence,thisresearch proposesanarrowdefinition—“knowledge growthraterelativetoinformation"—and abroad definition—“change rate in DIKWhierarchy”.
