[Abstract]Tooth impaction isaprevalent dentofacial developmentalanomalymostlyobservedinthird molars，whereas second molar impaction occurs with lower frequency.This article presents a case ofa male adolescent with mesially impactedsecondmolarsresultingintheexternalrootresorptionofmultiplefirstmolars.Thepatientreceivedorthodontic andsurgical treatments simultaneously，achieving dentalalignmentand enhancedolusalfunction.The treatments mitigated the long-term adverse complications of external root resorption.
