Abstract:Toidentifytheefectsofdrought stressontheseedlinggrowthofhigh-oleicacid peanut varieties,thisresearch selects eighthigh-oleicacid peanut cultivarsas experimentalmaterials,usesahydroponic system inalaboratoryandapplies PEG-simulated drought stress during the seedling stagetoanalyzechanges inrootand leaf morphologicaland physiological characteristics across different high-oleicacid peanut cultivars.Theresults show thatunder PEG-simulated drought stress, the relative valuesof root morphological parameters androotactivityin high-oleicacid peanuts increase,thereby enhancing thedroughtresistancecoeficientofbiomass.Drought stressignificantlyreduces rootlength,rootsurfacearea,rootvolume, roottipnumber,rootactivityshootdryweight,ootdryweight,andtotaldryweight,whileincreasingtheroottooot ratio.Notably,smalligholeicacidpeanutcultivarsshowamorepronounceddeclineinootactivitythanconventioaloleic acid peanut cultivars,whereas large high-oleic acid peanut cultivars exhibit less reductioninroot-related idices compared to conventional peanutscultivars.Among thetested cultivars,Huayu9113,Shanhua21,Kainong 308,andJihua1exhibit relatively strong drought resistance.
