Abstract:WiththedevelopmentofLowEarth Orbit (LEO)communicationsatelite technology,more and more LEOcommunicationsatelitesperiodcallyuseBam-Hoping(B)tofequentlyoincoveringthegroundaeasostofulfillgroudusersifotioncommunicationrequirementsintecoveredgroundarea.However,thefrequenthoppingwillincreasetheoverheadandcomplexity of theLEOcommunicationsatelite.Therefore,thispaperstudiestheBHschedulingproblemsinLEOcommunicationsatelitetoinimizethehoppngnumberofallbeamsaswellasfulfilallusers’real-ieonlinedemandsandinformatiocommunicationrequirements.Thispaperfirstformulates theproblemintoanintegerprogramandthenproposesapolynomial-timeapproximationBHschedulingmethodbasedonusers groupingtosolvethisproblem.Thisapproximationschedulingmethodexploitsdynamicusers grouping,dynamicbandsdetermininganddynamicBHscheduling toderease theoverallhoping numberofallbeams.Simulationresultsshowthat theproposedschedulingmethodbasedonusersgroupinginthispapercandecreasetheoverallhoppngnumberofallbeamsbyatost about 46% compared with Non-Grouping(NG) scheduling method.
