Exploring Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome-Based Therapeutic Strategies for Dengue Fever from the Perspective of Six-Meridian Syndrome Differentiation

Abstract：Dengue fever（DF） is an acute infectious disease caused by the dengue virus （DENV）.Currently，the clinical managementof DFin Chinafolows theNational Guidelines for the Diagnosisand Treatmentof DengueFever， which primarilyconsists of supportive care.Neither specific antiviral drugs nor universally approved vaccnes are available.Thisarticle elaborateson thepractical applicationandclinical insightsof the six-meridiansyndrome differentiation theoryof Shang Han Lun（Treatiseon Cold Damage）inthe diagnosisand treatmentof DF.Byanalyzing the onsetcharacteristicsof DFin patients，thisarticle proposes thatitscore traditional Chinese medicine pathogenesis is "latentpathogenerupting externallyintothethreeyang meridianswhilesinking iternallyintothethree yinmeridians." The resulting pattrns include overlap of diseases of taiyang and shaoyang，triple-yang combination of diseases，and taiyang-shaoyang-taiyin combination of diseases，among others.Clasical formulas such as Chaihu Guizhi Decoction are therefore widely applied in clinical practice.
