Investigation and analysis on the present situation of soybean-maize belt composite planting in Jiangsu province

ABSTRACT:Soybean-maizebeltcompound planting mode is an effective way to resolvetheland usecontradiction between grainand oil crops,increase soybean production capacityand ensure the safety of national grain and oil production. Our teaminvestigated the implementationofsoybean-maizebelt compound planting mode in Jiangsu province in2O22,andanalyzed the basic situationoffarmersunder this planting mode.Weconducteda statistical surveyontillageand preparation land methods,planting paternfertilizeroperation,preventionandcontrolofdiseasesand insectsand weeds,plantinginvestment,and cropyield.Results showed thatthe keylimiting factors affecting the yield and benefit improvement of soybean-maize belt compound planting mode in Jiangsu Province were unsuitable planting methods,drought,high investment andcost,high temperature stress,high fertilizer prices,low seedlingquality,mismatch of agricultural machinery and techniques,unreasonable varietyselection,maize borer damage,etc.On this basis,the development strategy of soybeanmaize belt compound plantingin Jiangsu Province was put forward:on the premiseof selecting density-tolerant,wide-adaptedand multi-resistant varieties,focusing on keycultivation techniques,supportingthe integrationof reasonable close planting,timely sowing,gren preventionandcontrol,simplified fertlization,chemicalcontroland lodgingresistance, timely harvestandother techniques toform agreen high-yield,high-eficiencyandlight,andsimplecultivationtechology system,characterized with saving labor and cost,increasing production and increase eficiency,increasing farmers’income,and serving the compatible development of soybean and maize.
