Abstract： [Purpose] To investigate the characteristics of police quality behaviors and their correlations in Kunming dog puppies. [Methods] A total of eight police quality behavior traits of Kunming dogs aged 16 to 24 weeks were measured using experimental evaluation methods. These traits included crowd traversing （CT）， environmental adaptability （EA）， responsiveness to induction （RI）， attention to objects （AO）， chasing and possessiveness of thrown objects （CPTO）， bite and hold （BH）， search desire （SD），and search ability （SA）. The analysis was conducted to reveal the differences in these traits across different weeks and genders， as wellas their correlations. [Results] The police quality behaviors of Kunming dog puppies showed no significant diference during the 16-24 week period （P>0.05） ， remaining relatively stable overall. The scores for the eight behavior traits ranged as follows： CT 3.08-3.52， EA 3.06-3.58， RI 3.02-3.35， AO 2.85-3.38， CPTO 3.10-3.46， BH 3.15-3.27， SD 2.88-3.29，and SA 2.77-3.08. Male dogs generally performed better than female dogs; however， with the exception of SD at week 16，the differences between males and females were not significant （P>0.05） . The Pearson correlation coefficients among the eight traits ranged from O.571 to 0.929 （P<0.01） . [Conclusion] Kunming dog puppies possess excellent and relatively stable police quality behaviors， and the behavior traits exhibit extremely significant positive correlations with each other.
