ABSTRACTTheonsetandprogressonofchronic heartfailure(CHF)arecloselyassociatedwithmyocardial energymetabolism disorders,andthispathologicalprocessignificantlyafectspatient prognosis.Traditional Chinesemedicie(TCM),groundedin time-basedmedicaltheoriessuchasthecorespondencebetweenhumansandnatureandthetheoryofcircadianflowofmeridians (ZiwuLiuzhu),exhibits intrinsicconsistencywith moderncircadianrhythmtheory,providingauniquetheoreticalframework for understandingand interveninginCHFfromatemporal perspective.Thisarticlesystematicallyexplores theimpactofcircadian rhythmsonenergymetabolismandthepotentialmechanismsbywhichTCMactiveingredientsinterveneinCHFthroughareview ofrelevantliterature.ItisfoundtatvariousTCMactiveingredients,includingflavonoids(suchasnobiletin),alkaloids(suchas berberine),andpolyphenols(suchasresveratrol),canimprovemitochondrial function,promotefattyacidoxidation,enhance glucose uptakeandutilization eficiency,maintain metabolicbalance,andalleviateoxidativestressand inflammatoryresponses in myocardial cels byregulating the expression and rhythms ofcore circadian clock genessuch as CLOCK,BMAL1,PER,and CRY.Theseactionstherebycorrectenergymetabolismdisordersandimprovecardiacfunction.Furterexplorationof theinteractionmechanisms between these components and the circadian rhythmsholdspromiseforprovidingnovel theoretical foundations and potential intervention strategiesforthe preventionandtreatmentofCHF.
